Sweden : Japanese printer vendor Oki has chosen to cancel its distribution partnership with broadliner Tech Data to start working with Actebis, which is growing rapidly on local market. Officially, this change was due to the fact that both companies could not agree on prices and margins. As this end of partnership covers whole Scandinavia (that is, also Denmark, Finland and Norway), this leaves Oki with no distributor in Finland : Actebis is indeed present in Denmark and Norway and will take over Oki distribution there, but is absent from Finland. And Oki’s other distributor was Ingram Micro, which is to close most of its Scandinavian offices. The printer vendor is currently trying to resolve this issue (source : IT Branschen Sverige).
