France : the French subsidiary of Dutch cabling and accessories specialist Nedis has acquired for an undisclosed amount its French competitor Nemo and its own brand Amarina. This is for Nemo the best way to grow internationally and be better considered by major retailers, which are its main clients. Both names and brands will be kept for time being, Raphaël Panozzo being the new manager of Nantes office while his colleague Thierry Guérin will keep in charge the Paris office. Yvon Billy, the manager of Nemo, will stay in the company until 2010 and his retirement. The new entity employs nearly 70 people (28 for Nemo and 40 for Nedis) and reaches a turnover of about €23m in 2008 (€1.04m for Amarina, €9.90m for Nemo and €11.84m for Nedis).
