France : NAS vendor AlgoStor, which is a brand of distributor and vendor AlgOS Network, has started to be distributed by newly created storage VAD EquiStor. EquiStor has been created by Jean-Paul Laborde, who has been for some time channel director for AlgOS Network. Among other EquiStor vendors, one may also find Brocade, Supermicro or Nexsan.
South-African broadliner Comztek has reaffirmed its commitment to the rest of Africa with the appointment of Tiens Lange as business unit manager for the rest of Africa (through its offices in Kenya, Namibia and Zambia). The appointment facilitates Comztek’s planned growth in the rest of Africa. Denmark : software and network VAD Lean-On has dropped Citrix distribution, being unable to scale up their business up to Citrix growth plans. Ireland : Storage and data protection specialist Iomega has signed a partnership agreement with network and security VAD Commtech.
