Mali : after some tough times because of local political turmoil, Ivory Coast broadliner Aitek is back on growth track, and has opened a new office in Bamako to cover more efficiently the Mali market. This subsidiary is its third, beside Senegal and Burkina Faso. Thanks to its local warehouse, it will be able to ship products more rapidly and provide a high quality of service to the hundred local resellers with whom Aitek works in the country.
South Africa : monitor vendor AOC has appointed broadliner Platinum Micro as a distributor for the local market. The Company will distribute a range of AOC monitors including the AOC Razor range of ultra-slim monitors which offer ultra-slim cabinets of just 0.92cm thickness and 1.2cm thickness with screen sizes ranging from 47 to 58.4cm.

France : gaming and DVD specialist DEM has signed a distribution agreement with Mood Entertainment, a producer and distributor of speciality music and casual PC games. Mood Entertainment’s products are sold using interactive displays in retail stores with high shopper traffic that allow customers to sample content prior to purchase. This deal will give Mood Entertainment access to 50% more hypermarkets in France, including such household names as the Carrefour Market, Leclerc and Intermarché.

Russia : Chinese vendor Huawei has chosen broadliner Marvel Distributsia as official distributor for its Ideos smartphones and tablets.
In a bid to compete more efficiently with Tech Data’s Hotlamp business, broadliner Ingram Micro has added to its V7 exclusive house-brand a range of replacement lamps for projectors. Italy : Dell has chosen network and security VAD Sidin as official distributor for its storage and server solutions.
Saudi Arabia : Adobe has appointed broadliner Alfalak Distribution as an official distributor. Alfalak joins the company’s strategic network of Middle East and North African distributors which includes Disway, Grapheast, Logicom and Mindware.
