Exer Datacom manages mobile fleets with Fiberlink
France : network and security VAD Exer Datacom ventures in mobility market thanks to a new partnership with the American editor Fiberlink Communications, which has developed a mobile fleet management tool named MaaS360. MaaS360 is able to manage both notebooks and smartphones (Apple iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, webOS, Symbian) through Active Directory, ActiveSync and Lotus Traveler databases.

Asbis secures Symantec Rights
Broadliner Asbis has signed a distribution agreement with security editor Symantec. Under the terms of the agreement, Asbis has been awarded the rights to distribute Symantec Consumer Products to retailers, OEMs and small PC assemblers, Internet Service Providers, resellers and other relevant channels Southeast Europe (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia).

Interactive Ideas rolls out SolarWinds Certified Professional training
United Kingdom : value-added software and security specialist Interactive Ideas has launched a dedicated training series to support resellers in gaining SolarWinds Certified Training (SCP) accreditation. The SolarWinds SCP program is an accredited certification designed to validate skills in network management by testing in 5 key knowledge areas. An SCP certification places an individual within the top tier of network engineers. Computerlinks ALVEA cloud services available worldwide
Network and security VAD Computerlinks has decided to expand its ALVEA cloud services to all its offices in the world. The full portfolio of ALVEA Channelled Services, including its satellite-based Business Internet Continuity Service, are available through Computerlinks in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom. The remaining six ALVEA Services are now also available exclusively through the channel from the distributor in Australia, Denmark, Dubai (which covers Bahrain and India), Finland, France, Hungary, Singapore and Sweden, while Computerlinks in the Netherlands and Norway are currently supporting four of the ALVEA Services. In Switzerland, Computerlinks supports two ALVEA Services, with two more coming soon. Austria does not seem to currently carry the ALVEA Services.
The full ALVEA Cloud and Managed Services portfolio consists of:

Netherlands : network and security VAD Computerlinks, the youngest subsidiary of the German distributor, has unveiled an addition to its portfolio, with Fortinet UTM products. Computerlinks becomes the third distributor of the vendor in the country, beside its competitors Exclusive Networks and Terach.

Germany : just a few days after a first signature with broadliner Bluechip, Ricoh has unveiled another distribution partnership with graphic market specialist Disc Direct.

Avnet and A-Data team up
Mémory and flash vendor A-Data has signed a distributorship agreement with multispecialist Avnet Technology Solutions, in which Avnet becomes an authorised distributor of ADATA products in major markets throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A-Data products are effectively available through Avnet offices in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Russia : Canadian editor MicroSurvey Software has chosen software specialist CPS as official local distributor for its geodetic and geodesic survey software.
ABC Data launches its own ink brand
Polish broadliner ABC Data has decided to launch on local market as well as through its subsidiaries in Czech Republic, Lithuania and Slovakia its own brand of toner and injet cartridges. Named Colorovo, this brand already is compatible with 1200 different printers from Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Lexmark, Konica-Minolta and Samsung. Within two years, the company plans to be in the top 3 of the compatible ink vendors in the country.
Seicom replaces Amigopod with Identity Networks
Germany : formerly an Amigopod distributor, networking VAD Seicom has decided to replace this vendor, which has been acquired by Aruba, by its competitor Identity Networks, whose guest management and identification solutions it will from now on push in the country.
