Another office for b.com

Netherlands: after Austria and Spain, German broadliner b.com has further extended its reach in Europe, through the opening of b.com Benelux, a sales office based in Hengelo. This new subsidiary, which will push the full portfolio of the distributor in the Benelux region, is managed by Jacob Gijsbertsen, who was formerly working for NewStar Computer Products Europe as DACH sales manager. According to Patrick Köhler, one of the managers of b.com, the export business of the distributor (done either through its foreign offices or directly through its German headquarters) should amount up to 10% of its global turnover within a few years. The company does not have any more plans to open new subsidiaries abroad before the end of the year, albeit it is always able to change its mind, providing it can find good local teams to rely on.

Midwich releases a technology solutions guide for healthcare market

United Kingdom: AV broadliner Midwich Group has produced a new brochure for resellers aimed at highlighting the potential opportunities in the healthcare market. The healthcare solutions guide showcases the latest technology that can help healthcare providers cut costs, simplify processes and improve time management, while identifying opportunities for resellers to grow their business and maximise profits.

At this year’s NHS Confederation conference, health secretary Andrew Lansley told how technology will play a major role in shaping the future of healthcare, specifically through supporting service change. With this in mind and with the healthcare sector as budget-conscious as ever, the key to health providers’ financial-management lies in investing in technologies that bring a more streamlined and cost-effective service to their patients.

The constant drive towards efficiency is vital to the healthcare market and there are a host of technologies to help achieve this; rugged tablets, monitors and touchscreens can assist both practitioner and patient; training is supported by interactive learning, the latest security measures are always of utmost importance, while quality and reliable printers are a must for any healthcare provider.

Understanding this potential in healthcare, Midwich has put together its solutions brochure to illustrate the exiting possibilities to resellers and installers. Whether in surgeries, waiting rooms, training rooms, hospitals or dentists, there are technology solutions to meet every need.
