United Kingdom: VAD Interactive Ideas has decided to withdraw from retail product distribution in order to focus exclusively on its fast-growing Enterprise software distribution business. In the last four years, the company has more than tripled its value sales and invested €1.2m in a new office and training facility to support the growth of its enterprise software and services business. Its retail business now accounts for less than 7% of its total revenues. In a challenging environment for retail, the distributor felt the time had come to move to a 100% focus on enterprise software and services. This should free up company resources both in terms of management time and liquidity for investment in this fast growing sector. The distributor is investigating among its staff, to see who may work in the new organization, and who may not. No information has been unveiled about the redundancies this may lead to.
