Avnet Silica develops partnerships to provide full range of edge-to-enterprise IOT connectivity solutions

Semiconductor specialist Avnet Silica has unveiled partnerships with Arkessa, an M2M managed services provider, Spica Technologies, who offer cloud based service solutions to capture, manage and present data, and UbiquiOS, supplier of embedded software to manage local connectivity and connectivity to the cloud. Avnet Silica has also signed an additional agreement with Sierra Wireless to expand the scope of products and services to include Sierra Wireless' entire device to cloud offering. Avnet Silica now provides Sierra Wireless SIM and Connectivity services, as well as Internet of Things (IOT) cloud platform services, in addition to the existing hardware cellular module business across Europe. All these new brands and offers are available through Avnet Silica offices in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

With the successful launch of Visible Things at Embedded World in Germany this year, Avnet Silica endeavours to become a key partner for customers looking for the complete edge-to enterprise solutions, from the chip level design, right through development and manufacture, ending in connected intelligent devices that can be deployed, monitored and managed out in the field. New brands for Ebertlang, Exclusive Networks, Siewert & Kau and SOS Software

Germany: software specialist Ebertlang Distribution has been chosen by IT automation editor Labtech as official distributor for the DACH region. Network and security VAD Exclusive Networks has inked a distribution deal with network visibility solution editor Gigamon. Broadliner Siewert & Kau has expanded its 3D portfolio with Fuel3D 3D scanners. Finally, Munich-based editor InLoox has appointed software specialist SOS Software as official distributor for its project management solutions (source: Channel Observer Deutschland).

Landata prints on MyToner, while Staten gets Patriot

Russia: infrastructure VAD Landata expands its scope and now distributes MyToner compatible toner cartridges from Ninestar Image Company throughout the country1. Meanwhile, broadliner Staten has started the distribution of Patriot memory and storage products2 (source: CN Rossiya 1 and 2).

Arrow ECS to offer Netscout’s portable network analysis tools

Middle East: infrastructure VAD Arrow ECS has started to offer Netscout/Fluke portable network analysis and troubleshooting tools in the region, including the AirCheck WiFi Tester, a rugged handheld device that can provide IT with an instant view of test results including network availability, connectivity, utilisation, security settings, rogue hunting, and interference detection. "NetScout's service assurance and cybersecurity solutions are helping service providers, enterprises and government agencies from around the world drive ROI on their network and broader IT initiatives while reducing the tangible risks associated with downtime, poor service quality and compromised security", said Abhishek Hajra, NetScout's regional director for Middle East and Africa. "We are pleased to extend our successful relationship with Arrow ECS as one of our key EMEA value-added distributors and deepen our reach to customers by bringing our products and solutions to customers in the gulf region.".
