ALSO acquires Internet Smartsec

Finland: Swiss distribution group ALSO Holding has acquired network and security VAD Internet Smartsec for an undisclosed sum. Internet Smartsec's portfolio encompasses secure e-commerce solutions, VPN routers, user identification equipment, smart cards, encryption technology, IDS and filtering products, as well as various firewall devices. The company also provides consultation and training in data security and data networks.

"The expertise and product portfolio of Internet Smartsec perfectly complement our range of solutions. Now we can support the growth of our customers by offering them more extensive expertise and a wider product portfolio in the growing network and security market, which will serve as an important basis for the Internet of Things. In leveraging Internet Smartsec offers on a European scale, we will be in a position to expand our Solution and Service business", said Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO: a speech which closely resembles the one following BeIP acquisition in France, a few weeks ago, as Internet Smartsec, like BeIP, is a major Aruba distributor in its country. Savera Digital becomes national distributor for ASRock’s AMD range of motherboards

India: broadliner Savera Digital has become premium PAN India distributor for ASRock. This partnership will bring together Savera's distribution network to deliver ASRock's AMD range of motherboards. Westcoast expands enterprise business with Juniper deal

United Kingdom: broadliner Westcoast has signed a distribution agreement with network vendor Juniper Networks. The deal means that the distributor will now offer the full range of Juniper's networking portfolio including datacentre, firewall and mobility solutions. Alex Tatham, Managing Director, Westcoast, said: "this is an exciting play for Westcoast. Arrow appoints Henrik Resting-Jeppesen as Regional Director Nordics

Scandinavia: infrastructure VAD Arrow ECS has appointed Henrik Resting-Jeppesen as Regional Director of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business unit in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Henrik Resting-Jeppesen will report to Jean-Loup Desamaison-Cognet, vice president DACH, Nordics, Eastern Europe and Middle East & Africa of Arrow ECS. Henrik Resting-Jeppesen joined Arrow in 1994, and most recently served as country manager for Denmark with extended responsibilities in the entire Nordics region. Jørgen Winther who joined Arrow in 2008 through the acquisition of Logix, will be retiring from his role as vice president for the Nordic region. Jean-Loup Desamaison-Cognet expanded his role as regional vice president, now including the Nordic region. He joined Arrow in 2001, also through the acquisition of Logix (IPvista). « The Nordic region gradually increases its significance in the European region and contributes well to our business as a whole« , says Jean-Loup Desamaison-Cognet. « I am delighted to work with Henrik Resting-Jeppesen.
