Farnell element14 introduces new test and measurement range from Rohde and Schwarz

Development specialist Farnell element14 has introduced a new range of value test and measurement products from Rohde and Schwarz. The products include a number from Hameg Instruments GmbH, which it recently integrated into its Test and Measurement Division and will be sold under the Rohde and Schwarz brand.

  • The R&S®RTB2000 Oscilloscope has a 25.4cm touchscreen display and the 10bit ADC gives the user the finest resolution in the market. The 10MSample Memory means it can be in-use 100 times longer than traditional oscilloscopes.
  • The R&S®FPC1000 Bench Spectrum Analyser, a new entry spectrum analyser is fully frequency upgradeable with uncompromised RF performance, 2.6 times more display resolution than other brands, high measurement resolution down to 1Hz bandwidth and ease of virtual control with the built-in wifi module (Android/IOS app).
  • The R&S®Spectrum Rider FPH is a versatile, user-friendly, light weight, hand held instrument available in a number of models with frequencies ranging from 5kHz – 4GHz. It features long battery life, capacitive touch screen and a keypad with backlight.
  • The R&S®FSC Spectrum Analyzer is a compact, cost-efficient solution that offers all the essential features of a professional spectrum analyzer with Rohde & Schwarz quality. It covers a wide range of applications from simple development tasks to production, or can be used for training RF professionals.
  • The R&S®SMC100A RF and Microwave Signal Generator is a flexible and versatile instrument with outstanding signal quality covering the frequency range from 9 kHz to 1.1 GHz or 3.2 GHz. Output power is > +17 dBm and all important functions (AM/FM/φM/pulse modulation) are already integrated in the instrument.

Exertis RIPS into OA Market with Epson

United Kingdom: broadliner Exertis has unveiled a distribution agreement with Epson to provide their Workforce Pro Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS) printers to selected resellers. The business will be managed from Exertis specialist OA print facility in Norfolk, utilising dedicated OA account managers who will be working with new and existing Epson RIPS customers. Jamie Brothwell, Exertis print general manager, said: "Epson has a very unique proposition using its business ink continuous feed technology that delivers up to 75,000 business quality prints between ink changes. The WorkForce Pro printers are known for their reliability and provide customers with a low TCO including using up to eighty per cent less energy than competitive colour lasers. We are looking forward to offering these printers to selected resellers alongside our range of specialist pre-delivery and logistical services, and our flexible credit facilities."

Epson's WorkForce Pro RIPS printers provide exceptional reliability with lower IT support costs, increase business productivity, reduce waste by simplifying supplies management and as a result are more environmentally friendly. As part of a Managed Print Service, WorkForce Pro RIPS printers can help to create a distributed printer fleet that provides an easy yet secure, high quality, distributed print resource that delivers predictable print costs. In addition, Epson's Document Capture Pro software enables an automated paper capture and storage process and its Email Print for Enterprise solution enables users to securely send documents to a printer and print directly from any device that can send an email in the office.

Tech Data launches gaming platform for German retailers

Germany: broadliner Tech Data has started to offer local resellers and stationary traders an exclusive access and insight into its gaming offer through a new, dedicated gaming portal. In this portal, resellers will find products that are especially designed or developed for the gaming market. Through a mouse-over function, visitors get technical details about all products and can develop ideal gaming configurations for different user groups (beginners, semi-professionals and professionals). Depending on the needs of the customer and his gameplay (ego shooter, fantasy or strategy games), the resellers can select the best components and add them to their shopping cart.

Ingram Micro in partnership with Ercom

France: the value division of broadliner Ingram Micro has expanded its security offer with Ercom, a local editor specialized in communication, data and endpoint securization. Available immediately, Ingram Micro distributes Cryptosmart, a unique solution of securization of mobile endpoints and communications, as well as Cryptobox, a securized workgroup and data sharing solution. Scale Computing expands with Dupaco

Netherlands: hyperconvergence vendor Scale Computing has announced a partnership with security and software VAD Dupaco Distribution, an Ingram Micro company. With over 30 years of experience in the IT field, Dupaco will be reselling the HC3 hyper-convergence and virtualisation platform, enabling Scale Computing to expand its reach across Europe. Scale Computing's HC3 platform brings storage, servers, virtualisation and management together in a single system. With no virtualisation software to license and no external storage to buy, HC3 products lower out-of-pocket costs and simplify the infrastructure needed to keep applications running. As a VAD, Dupaco will have access to Scale's Partner Community Program, which offers VARs and MSPs marketing tools, training, enablement, support and sales incentives, helping them to drive the sale of hyperconverged HC3 solutions across the Netherlands.
