RS Components signs Digilent agreement

Semiconductor specialist RS Components has signed a global distribution agreement with Digilent, a world leader in academic and research technology solutions. The deal provides access to a wide range of popular FPGA and microcontroller development boards, JTAG programmers and a range of microcontroller peripheral application boards and portable instruments. "This agreement with Digilent represents an excellent source of tools for embedded development, which complements the RS offer for over a million customers. It delivers on our ‘Digital FAE’ promise to our suppliers, to our DesignSpark community and to RS University customers, allowing them to comprehensively equip their design benches", said Jon Boxall, head of semiconductors at RS. "It will enable our customers to simplify and accelerate their product development cycles and ease rapid prototyping." Digilent products are available through RS Components offices in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Credence Security enters into partnership with CensorNet

MEA: CensorNet, the complete cloud security company, has selected security VAD Credence Security as its Value Added Distributor for Africa, India, the Middle East and Pakistan regions. Credence Security and CensorNet will work together to offer the cybersecurity company's advanced cloud security products, including its Unified Security Solution (USS) to enterprises and resellers across the region. The deal further expands CensorNet's global reach, and addresses the growing demand for cloud security solutions in the Middle East and across Africa. The partnership provides Credence Security with access to a unique cloud security solution that consolidates point solutions into one easy to manage platform.

USS is a comprehensive cybersecurity service that combines modules for the security, monitoring and control of web, email and cloud applications across an organisation's network in one single dashboard, meaning that common policies can be easily applied and incidents tracked across different media. USS provides the security and control of an on-premise or endpoint component with the flexibility and mobility of a cloud service. It is the next generation in email and web security with Cloud Application Control giving enterprises the power to extend web access policies to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives and to monitor and control Shadow IT.

Brullov Consulting, Hi-Tech Media, MONT and OCS sign new partners

Russia: AV and telecom VAD Brullov Consulting has inked a distribution deal with video-conferencing vendor Vaddio. AV VAD Hi-Tech Media has been appointed as an official distributor by Italian mounting solutions vendor Euromet1. Software specialist MONT Distribution has become official distributor for local Linux editor STC IT Rosa2. Finally, value-added broadliner OCS Distribution has expanded its networking offer with Samsung Wifi products (source: CRN Rossiya 1 and 2, Astera Rossiya).

More vendors for Equipements Scientifiques and Miel

France: industrial computing and networking specialist Equipements Scientifiques has expanded its portfolio with VXT (touch panels) and Lina-Tech (embedded motherboards and industrial mini-PCs). Its competitor Miel strengthens its virtualization offer with FSLogix, an editor specialised in Exchange migration solutions for Citrix environments.

Yepzon appoints Ingram Micro

Scandinavia: broadliner Ingram Micro has inked a distribution partnership with Finnish vendor Yepzon, which has developed GPS trackers designed to locate pets, people and things. The partnership covers the whole Scandinavian region, through Ingram offices in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
