ALSO eases business communication with BizSkype

Broadliner ALSO has signed an agreement with Norwegian editor Cloudx Services to distribute BIZSKYPE, an independent Skype for Business telephony cloud service. As a new service in the ALSO Cloud Marketplace, BIZSKYPE can be easily and quickly on-boarded at a low cost. BIZSKYPE is based on the world's fastest growing B2B unified communication platform, Skype for Business. It brings added value by allowing customers to freely choose their Microsoft and Telecom provider. It offers a unified communication platform for fixed and mobile calling, extensive cross-functionality with dial-in conferencing invitations in Outlook, as well as the ability to call from any desktop or web-based business application. On a technical level, BIZSKYPE also has full IP-PBX functionality and includes business telephony capabilities. ALSO and Cloudx Services are well-positioned to help all European Telecom providers to connect their fixed and mobile services to BIZSKYPE, enabling calls from Skype for Business as an integrated part of their established telephony services.

"Together with Cloudx Services, we are reinventing the PBX industry with a solution that promotes the freedom of choice for our customers and empowers them to add value to their offering with minimal sales cost. This enables easy and provider-independent voice activation, while inviting Telecom providers to compete in the marketplace on what they do best", said Thorlakur Thorgeirsson, Cloud ISV Manager of ALSO.

"BIZSKYPE is delivering value to customers, resellers, distributors and telecoms by simply activating the Skype for Business client with their preferred telephony provider. The key is adding local and regional telephony provider values to the most efficient Skype for Business cloud service engine: BIZSKYPE. We look forward to rolling out our service on ALSO’s state-of-the-art B2B marketplace", said Jon Sjølie, CEO of Cloudx Services.

BIZSKYPE is available now in the ALSO Cloud Marketplace in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Norway. More countries will soon be added.

Dossa comes with more than 20 years of specialist leadership within telecoms, networks and IT sectors. Most recently, he joined Capita IT enterprise Services in April 2016, holding the roles of chief sales and marketing officer, followed by managing director of network and connectivity. Broadliner Exertis has combined its gaming, smart tech, accessories and audio divisions into a new consumer business unit made up of over 250 employees2. The new division will be based across offices in Basingstoke and Harlow, with the employees being part of an overall base of more than 1,150. Specific roles for each staff member will be spread across purchasing, commercial and marketing. Prior to joining Exertis, La Cumbre was sales director at Turkish consumer electronics specialist Vestel (2016) and Toshiba TV Europe sales director (January 2014 to December 2015). It will provide unrivalled focus and support for our vendors and customers, enabling Exertis to leverage the market leading positions we already hold in the consumer market. We have an outstanding leadership team and adding Liam, with his extensive, retail experience, demonstrates our continued investment as we see opportunities to drive for additional growth both in the UK and other European geographies. The new CBU provides the platform to bring together and promote the expertise, specialism and specific value-added services that we can offer to new and existing retail customers and vendors.
