Panasonic signs first pan-EMEA distribution agreement with Nuvias for IP phone handsets

Panasonic Business has appointed Nuvias as its first pan-EMEA distributor for its range of business IP phone handsets. This marks a major vote of confidence in the recently-formed Nuvias Unified Communications Practice and is an important addition to Nuvias' growing portfolio of leading products designed to deliver complete end-to- end unified communications (UC) solutions. The initial roll-out will focus on established markets for Nuvias, including Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, along with Southern Europe (Italy, Malta and Spain) and the Nordics (Denmark, Norway and Sweden). Nuvias will act as a high value distributor for the full range of Panasonic IP handsets. This comprises desktop phones, and both single cell and multi-cell DECT solutions, for use within cloud-based UC environments, including BroadSoft. "As a full end-to- end unified communications solution provider, backed up with the technical skills and experience to support service providers and resellers, Nuvias adds an exciting new dimension to our distribution across EMEA", said Raphael Studer, European Partner Account Manager for SIP Products at Panasonic System Communications Europe. "The Nuvias Unified Communications Practice will be able to replicate its well-proven and successful model to drive sales through both existing and new channel partners."

Panasonic is one of a number of unified communications vendors taking advantage of Nuvias' growing UC capability to increase EMEA sales. Nuvias' drive to expand its Unified Communications Practice will also help existing and new reseller/integrator channel partners across EMEA to benefit from the opportunities presented by the rapidly expanding UC market).

A major appointment for Nimans

United Kingdom: telecom VAD Nimans has strengthened its grip on the UC, IT and end points sector with the appointment of Colin McGregor as its first-ever Director of Major Accounts. Colin will manage and develop sales opportunities with IT service providers, carriers and general customers to open more sales doors and help them capture additional sales. Colin is an industry heavyweight and has worked in the IT distribution sector for the last two decades. He is a former MD of Tech Data (Azlan) and for the last three years has been a partner at channel consultancy Demuto, specialising in strategic growth planning. "Taking on this new role at Nimans was a natural step", he explained. "As Director of Major Accounts I will work closely with vendors and resellers to provide higher, wider and deeper working relationships. It's imperative that we further understand our customers’ strategies and the direction they are taking particularly around UC so that we become their key strategic partner in helping them drive further forward and exceed their business objectives. I have a team of excellent people around me along with exceptional vendor relationships to ensure our customers gain a competitive market advantage." Still more vendors for Powerdata

Swiss retail specialist Powerdata has started the distribution in French speaking Europa (Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland) of three new vendors, Elari (mobile phones and smart watches), Zero Zero Robotics (Hover drone and related accessories) and Zhiyun (gyrostabilisators for digital cameras).

More business for MUK and Softprom

Ukraine: despite the war waged by Russia on its territory, Ukraine economy is slowly but surely improving, as show its IT distributors. Infrastructure VAD MUK has for example been chosen by ZyXEL as an official distributor1, while software specialist Softprom has been appointed by Corel as an official training center2 (source: Komputernoye Obozrenye 1 and 2).

Airlive and Red Hat sign new distributors

India: network and storage specialist Electro Cheval Technologies has bagged distribution opportunity of AirLive products in the country. AirLive is having 24 years of experience in the IT Networking industry and is said to be one of the largest vendors of Networking Surveillance, Networking Power over Ethernet switches, in Asia also committed to provide continuous innovative network solutions. The company officially appoints Electro Cheval as its strategic distributor in the categories of Enterprise networking switching solutions. They will also share information on the new products that will be made available in the India Markets this year. Infrastructure VAD Azlan + Technology Solutions has been appointed as a distributor for Red Hat Mobile Application Platform in India. "Recognizing mobility as one of the fastest growing next-generation technologies, Tech Data continues to invest in resources that help partners enhance and scale their mobility practices whilst driving digital transformation", said Naresh Desai, vice president, specialist business, Asia Pacific at Tech Data. "In our experience, Red Hat Mobile Application Platform is an excellent solution for enabling partners to develop and manage mobile business applications quickly and cost-effectively. To support this innovation, partners, and their end customers, can also utilize Tech Data's Asia Pacific Innovation Centers to access a wide array of technical resources, tools, skills and infrastructure to accelerate their solution design capabilities."
