Nuvias appointed as sole pan-EMEA Distributor for Dtex Systems

Network, security and storage VAD Nuvias has been appointed as the sole pan-EMEA distributor for Advanced User Behaviour Intelligence leader Dtex Systems' range of insider threat solutions. High-value distribution business Nuvias, whose Cyber Security Practice was created from the former security VAD Wick Hill, will work with Dtex to establish a channel network in EMEA and promote growth for the vendor. The initial focus will be on Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with a later second stage aimed at Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Nuvias is distributing the full range of Dtex's monitoring solutions, which provide visibility and intelligence around user behaviour, gathering information from the endpoint. Dtex solutions use proprietary metadata for analysis, matching user workflows to known risks, as well as utilising behavioural learning. This highlights and provides forensic-level, end-to-end workflows to identify users with malicious intent and those who accidentally expose data. Initially, Nuvias and Dtex will create a group of 20 partners, in Benelux and the UK, comprising security-focussed VARs and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). Nuvias will provide strong support with dedicated sales and pre-sales staff, partner training and other services to enable Dtex to scale more quickly and gain momentum in the market place.

Ian Kilpatrick, EVP Cyber Security for Nuvias Group, said: "we are seeing companies become ever more interested in security, thanks to continuing publicity on data breaches and compliance issues such as GDPR. Insider threats from malicious behaviour and bad cyber hygiene have traditionally been underrated but have always been a key element in the level of risk that companies face. Visibility at the endpoint is critical to solving insider threats and this is Dtex’s focus, unlike many other insider threat solutions which concentrate on the network. Dtex can provide a high level of visibility and intelligence around what users are doing as well as proactively highlighting any potential risks before they take place. The market is ripe for this type of solution with recent data breaches drawing increased attention to the need for good cyber hygiene and internal monitoring within organisations."

Christy Wyatt, Dtex Systems CEO, said: "with Insider Threat representing more than half of all known breaches, enterprise customers today need strong analytics solutions and experienced security partners. Nuvias' experience in the security space makes them an ideal partner for Dtex and enterprise customers."

Neox Networks and Infocyte sign distribution agreement for Cyber Security solution Infocyte HUNT

Germany: network and security VAD Neox Networks and cybersecurity editor Infocyte have entered into a new partnership with a distribution contract for Infocyte HUNT. The Cyber Security solution Infocyte HUNT is an agentless threat-hunting platform that scans end devices of different operating systems for threats. Threat Hunting with Forensic State Analysis (FSA) complements existing solutions in a new way: Infocyte HUNT approaches threats under the assumption that endpoints are already compromised. Malware and active or inactive threats that have already successfully bypassed the existing defenses and built a bridgehead in the network can be proactively detected.

Daan Haakert, VP of International Sales at Infocyte, said: "we are looking forward to the new partnership with NEOX Networks. Infocyte HUNT's unique approach to threat hunting is an ideal complement to the NEOX portfolio of security solutions. NEOX is an established VAD in the field of network monitoring and security and completes its solution spectrum with Infocyte Hunt to include endpoint cyber security."

"In times of increasing cybercrime and economically motivated cyber threats, traditional security measures can no longer provide a complete defence. The question is not whether, but when a company falls victim to it", says Timur Özcan, Managing Director of Neox Networks. "Therefore, it is essential to detect existing threats and compromises at an early stage. Through the new partnership with Infocyte HUNT, we are pleased to offer our partners a unique and innovative cyber security solution that answers this question." Özcan further emphasizes that with Infocyte HUNT and forensic state analysis, compromises and malware can be detected even if other security tools have failed. It is crucial to obtain proof that the systems have not been compromised. "With Infocyte, we offer our partners an advanced analysis system that ensures that IT systems have not fallen victim to any attackers", he concludes.

Exclusive Networks and Picus Security join forces

Picus Security, a cyber attack simulation and intrusion prevention editor, and network and security VAD Exclusive Networks have signed an agreement to maximize the cyber-security potential of businesses. Since a few weeks, Exclusive Networks has been offering through its offices in France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom Picus, an innovative assessment technology that measures the ability of organizations to detect cyber threats 24/7 and respond quickly after a threat has been detected. Picus was founded in 2014 to address a problem that many companies are facing: prevention technologies, even when they are advanced and regularly updated, are still lagging behind emerging cyber threats. New cyber threats are created every day by hackers and cyber-security teams lack the tools to accurately measure their ability to react, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and to respond quickly. By identifying hacking techniques that can thwart a company's cyber-protection capabilities, Picus is arming cyber-security professionals with the tools to provide them with practical assessment, greater visibility, and the information they need to respond to attacks.

"Even if some companies have made significant investments in security technologies and services, none of them are yet in a position to express full confidence in their IT infrastructure", explains Stéphane Iaich, Director of Strategic Marketing at Exclusive Networks. He also added: "one of the main reasons for this gap is the difficulty in managing complex security technologies to effectively combat cyber threats. We are joining forces with Picus to help customers manage these technologies more efficiently, improve their return on investment and answer the question: what is my level of cyber-security right now?"

Armagan Zaloglu, Vice President of Picus Sales in the EMEA region, explains that a partnership with a leading player such as Exclusive Network is proof of the relevance of the Picus offer. "We wanted to partner with a true value-added distributor, who understands the value of emerging technologies. This partnership with Exclusive Networks is a very exciting new step in our global expansion strategy", he says.

These can be placed anywhere in the home, communicating wirelessly with a receiver unit which is connected to the central heating system's boiler, working remotely with a smartphone to provide consumers with the optimum heating solution.
