Fluke Networks signs FVC as new distributor

Middle East: network performance monitoring and diagnostic vendor Fluke Networks has signed network and security VAD FVC as a distributor (VAD) for the Middle East and Africa region. As part of the new agreement, FVC will align with Fluke Networks to meet customer demand in the region, by making the vendor's enterprise solutions available through its offices in Egypt, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom (for the other, English-speaking countries). FVC will market all enterprise solutions from Fluke Networks, giving businesses across the region immediate access to world-leading technologies, providing them with an edge in an increasingly competitive global arena.
FVC signs agreement with Elitecore

Network and telecom VAD FVC has signed a partnership agreement with Elitecore, a provider of Wi-Fi service management, for its 24 Online, a wireless hotspot Management solution allowing customers to monetize their wireless infrastructure. The agreement enhances FVC's networking portfolio and strengthen its mobility offering to the enterprise sector in the African continent (except South Africa). Elitecore selected FVC for its extensive reach across Africa through regional partner base in the continent and its offices in Kenya, Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria. Elitecore will support FVC with its sales, pre sales and marketing teams. There are plans for joint road shows to help FVC partners realise the full potential of the product’s revenue generating opportunities both for the partners and their customers. In addition to brand awareness activities, both companies will introduce and conduct partner certification programmes in order to give them the necessary expertise and confidence.
IP Tech names Almasa distributor

Middle East : IP Technology Labs (IPTL), a provider of Ethernet appliances and Enterprise networking equipment, has appointed Dubai-based network and security VAD Almasa Value Distribution as its exclusive master distributor for MENA markets. Almasa brings local stocking, international logistics, and pre/post sales channel support. IPTL products are turn-key appliances providing secure Ethernet connectivity end-to-end regardless of location, filtering, or dynamic addressing. Almasa Value replaces FVC, which was the previous distributor of IPTL since 2010.
Polycom multiplies alliances and programs

While it did not want to comment the impact of the acquisition of the video-conference division of HP over its distributor network, Polycom has unveiled its new partner program and another technology alliance.
Dubbed Choice Program, the new partner program aims to push its resellers to invest more in its technologies (A/V, industry specialization, Microsoft unified communications, VoIP, etc.). As a reward, its certified channel gets higher earnings. The goal is to strengthen the skills and commitment of its partners, to face more efficiently Cisco-Tandberg competition. This new partner program leans obviously on its distributors (organized by major specialties, such as network infrastructure, telephony or VoIP - that is Arrow ECS Network and Security, Itancia and Imago in France for example), which may become training centers if they wish.
Beside its POCN (Polycom Open Collaboration Network) alliance, launched last year ago with 8 partners around the Lync unified communications from Microsoft, Polycom plans to further simplify the interoperability of videoconferencing infrastructures with OVCC (Open Visual Communication Consortium). Like POCN, OVCC purpose is to be able to use any videoconferencing solution without having to worry about the infrastructure of the other users. FVC sets up new supply-chain hub in Amsterdam

Africa : network and security VAD FVC has signed an agreement with Netherlands-based logistics company Merzario to manage its supply chain and logistics in Amsterdam, Holland. This new hub has been set up to allow greater convenience for FVC’s partners in North & West Africa, taking advantage of direct cargo flights to this region. This supply chain hub ought to give FVS resellers in North & West Africa an added value in terms of faster deliveries, speeding up the supply chain process, while providing the same services as FVC’s supply-chain hub in the Jebel Ali Free zone, UAE.
