Creative Peripherals, Modi Infosol and Sakri IT Solutions find new vendors

India: Philips has inked a national, exclusive distribution deal with broadliner Creative Peripherals (CPDPL)1. "With Creative peripherals as our distributor, we will increase our presence in the IT channel as well as in retail & corporate partners," said Uday Pratap, Business Head at Philips Signage Display Solutions. "Our goal is to continuously improve our customer experience in every aspect. Expanding our network of sales, personal support and being in proximity to our customers is a key initiative towards achieving that." Markets and Markets reports that the digital signage market is expected to reach €24.66b by 2022, at a CAGR of 6.7% between 2016 and 2022. Another research agency predicts that, Indian digital signage systems market is projected to reach €472m by 2019, at a CAGR of 25.8% during 2014-19. "The signage market is going through a significant revolution. Offerings such as enhanced customer experience, visual consistency and adaptability across multiple locations to display interactive content is increasing ROI and attracting target audience for many brands. The video walls are gaining popularity and is already a trend in various concerts, fashion shows and corporate events", said Ketan C Patel, CEO at Creative Peripherals. "Philips is one of the strongest players in electronics segment with a very good R&D team. CPDPL sees this as an opportunity to expand along with Philips and we are helping them with everything we can. Both being strong players in their respective fields, this relationship will be a win-win situation for customers and partners."

Meanwhile, network vendor Edimax Technology has appointed broadliner Modi Infosol as a distributor for Edimax and Edimax Pro range of products2. The company said that this partnership will enable Edimax to tap into new geographies, target over 2500+ channels partners and 400+ retailers pan India, substantially increasing their reach and penetration. "Partnering with established and forward-thinking companies such as Modi InfoSol is part of our strategy to seize new business opportunities. Distribution network of Modi Infosol has a great potential to reach out to last mile and serve untapped upcoming markets in India. After suspending the distribution partnership with ESS Distribution, Eset has announced that network and software specialist Sakri IT Solutions will be Eset's key business partner in the country3. Sakri IT Solutions will be Eset's key strategic business partner in the country and will continue to support and expand the company's channel partner network. Ravi Lakshman K, CEO, Sakri IT Solution said that the company has rolled out several channel initiatives to position Eset's offerings in the market efficiently: "As a key partner of Eset in India has opened up new challenges and new avenues for us to increase the reach of Eset in the Indian market.We plan to expand our reach by penetrating in tier 3 and tier 4 market. We are targeting significant long term growth opportunities, especially in emerging markets where AV penetration is still in small numbers. We see a huge potential for Antivirus products in the developing market like India. We are looking forward to establish alliances with distributors in such markets. We will train them and their channels and make the product available in the respective markets. The distributor has rolled out the channel loyalty program – SPISE Sales Program for Incentivizing System Engineers for Eset Retail channel partner and Service Engineers. The program is beneficial for the field engineers, channel partner employees and not just for the owners of company. "We want to take Eset business to the next level, we will be investing significant effort in the promotions of premium consumer product portfolio which is the mainstream volume market and also in the Eset enterprise security We will roll out attractive scheme and rebate programs for channel partner on the quarterly basis. Modi Infosol launches smart life accessories brand AXL

India: broadliner Modi Infosol has launched a line of mobile accessories under the "AXL" name. Modi Infosol's consumer brand AXL offers high performance mobile accessories, which use latest technologies and state-of-the-art hardware. AXL's line of products include a premium range of power banks, OTG devices and USB drives, including the world's smallest OTG device. AXL plans to launch speakers, adapters and headphones and other allied products in the near future. A high penetration of smart devices like smartphones, tablets and DSLR cameras, along with a growing demand for digital content has fueled the growth of flash memory storage devices among Indian consumers.

According to a recent study by CMR India, 'Quarterly Consumer Storage Flash Memory Market Review' (Q4, 2014), India's consumer storage flash memory market has witnessed an impressive 52% YoY growth in the fourth quarter 2014, recording 25.2 million unit shipments. While 8GB storage capacity holds a larger share of the market, 16GB pen drives gained a significant growth of around 12% over the previous quarter. Further, the market is expected to reach new heights in the coming quarter, primarily due to declining TCO of devices. Also, the OTG/dual connector market has started gaining acceptance rapidly in the Indian market. An increase in the demand for Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as smartphones, tablets/phablets and laptops has further driven the growth of India's electronics consumable market. According to "Research & Market Survey", India Power Bank shipments value reached €5.21 million for the fourth quarter in 2014. Power Bank, with 5200 MAH battery capacity, registered a major share of the market followed by 10400 MAH capacity. India: Taiwanese vendor Asus has authorized regional broadliner Modi Infosol to distribute its monitors and mini-PCs over the territories it covers (Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh).
