British Isles: RedstoneConnect, a provider of technology and services for smart buildings and commercial spaces, has successfully acquired the entire issued share capital of Easter Road Holdings Limited and its subsidiary, British AV specialist Anders+Kern. The acquisition will broaden RedstoneConnect's blue-chip customer base with existing A+K clients including British Library, MacMillan, ONS, Tullow Oil and BBC Worldwide.
Security VAD e92plus and Trustwave, a cybersecurity and managed security services provider, have unveiled a distribution partnership for both Ireland and the United Kingdom. The partnership will play a key role in expanding Trustwave's channel community and managed security services in the region.
Finally, broadliner and PC vendor Wortmann-Terra Computer has announced the arrival of two new members of its team: senior business development manager Alicia Shepherd and business development manager Colin Morris. Neil Jensen, director, Terra Computer, said: "we are delighted that we could recruit these two highly experienced individuals to our Team and together with them bring Terra to the next level in the UK! Exciting times ahead!" British Islands: security VAD e92plus has unveiled new distribution deals with Netscout (LAN deployment and optimisation) and Swivel Secure (authentication), covering both Ireland and the United Kingdom. e92plus will be providing extensive support services to help these vendors grow their partner community, including free sales assistance, Professional Services for consultancy, training and deployments, marketing solutions and lead generation (including marketing campaigns that help leverage the opportunities for securing Office 365, Salesforce, Google Apps, and Dropbox projects). The distributor has also decided to target the consumer market, through a dedicated division. Initially, it will distribute Avira, Bitdefender and F-Secure products, leveraging on its experience in distributing security products on the corporate market.
Broadliner Exertis has inked a distribution agreement with ClearOne, a company specialising in the design and development of innovative conferencing, collaboration, and network streaming & signage solutions for voice and visual communications. Michael Thompson, Exertis UC business manager, said: "ClearOne represents an important addition to our growing collaboration portfolio, ticking all the boxes for our resellers and their end users in terms of technology, budget and functionality. Their Spontania product will be of particular interest to the channel enabling customers to deploy cloud based media collaboration without the need for expensive infrastructure."
Betting on a strong growth of its cloud business over the coming months, broadliner Ingram Micro is to launch a cloud security business within the coming weeks. This new BU will focus on several security solutions, including Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEPC) which has been recently added to the cloud portfolio of the distributor.
United Kingdom: application security vendor A10 Networks has announced that network, security and storage VAD Cloud Distribution has been approved to deliver training on behalf of A10 Networks across EMEA. Over the past few months, Cloud Distribution's trainers and qualified instructors have been through extensive preparation and guidance with A10's US technical team to ensure that they are certified and qualified to deliver A10 training to partners and end users. This is the first ATP Centre in Europe and Cloud Distribution will become the first certified partner, enabling both resellers and end users to upskill and increase the level of recognised expertise within their organisations, while increasing their capability for pre and post-sales support. Rapid channel growth has led to the increased demand for training that A10 is now experiencing, having launched its new Affinity Partner Programme last year. Demand has grown to the extent that A10 now requires a dedicated training centre in EMEA and Cloud Distribution was perfectly positioned to deliver this. Cloud Distribution will provide training primarily around A10's ADC (Application Delivery Controller) and TPS (Threat Protection System) products. This will enable resellers' technical staff to be certified trainers and users, which in turn means that they will be able to provide enhanced implementation and support services to their customers. Likewise, if end users don't have certified engineers, they can sign up for training courses as well. There will be scheduled classroom training courses at Cloud's ATP Centre in Reading, and where required, bespoke onsite training can also be delivered.
IT infrastructure audit editor Netwrix has signed a distribution agreement with security VAD e92plus, its first local 2-tier partnership. Under the agreement, e92plus will leverage its considerable knowledge and influence among resellers in the mid-market to enterprise space to recruit and train sales partners for the flagship Netwrix Auditor platform. "Having spent the past couple of years preparing the ground by onboarding some large resellers, blue chip customers and building up our internal resources we have today selected a top distribution partner to help us accelerate the growth of Netwrix in the UK", said Peter Smith, Netwrix's regional director of sales, Europe. "In our view e92plus has the right enablement strategy, technical resource and complementary skills to help us recruit the right resellers and rapidly scale up the number of prospective customers that are introduced to the Netwrix Auditor platform."

The "six-play" portfolio features EE as well as O2 and Vodafone and offers a plethora of commercial business models as well as a stepping stone into Mobile Data and M2M. Nimans' enhanced mobile connectivity offering comprises six key elements namely O2 Wholesale, Vodafone Wholesale, O2 30 day contracts, Vodafone 30 day contracts, an EE dealer model and Mobile Data/M2M. Resellers have a choice of single or multiple user inclusive tariffs and bundles or bespoke "pay as you use" options.
Broadliner Northamber has become an authorised distributor of Armor Office printing for the new brand of remanufactured laser cartridges OWA. Northamber have a long his tory of success in print and working with Armor will complement their existing offerings. It will also reinforce Northamber as the destination for SMB resellers looking for unparalleled print expertise.
Finally, Jon Miller, who was sales director for telephony specialist Brightstar, has left the distributor to join its competitor Redeem, which is specialized in mobile phone recycling and brokerage, to become its new managing director. Two new distributors for NSFOCUS
As part of its international expansion, advanced security solution provider NSFOCUS has inked distribution deals with security VAD e92plus in the British Isles and network and security VAD Spectrami, in the MEA region. These new deals bring advanced security solutions to Ireland and the United Kingdom through e92plus, as well as the full MENA region, through Spectrami offices in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
