100Mega, AB, ABC Data and AT Computers expand their offers

Central Europe: broadliner 100Mega has been appointed by French vendors Thomson (TV accessories) and Strong (DVB adapters and accessories, network products) as an exclusive distributor in both Czechia and Slovakia1. In Poland, broadliner AB SA has expanded its digital signage portfolio with Newstar products. Broadliner ABC Data has added Xopero total data protection solutions & business continuity to its Polish cloud portal. ABC Data launches its cloud platform

Central Europe: Polish broadliner ABC Data has launched officially its ABC Data Cloud platform in eight countries in Eastern Europe, that is Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Available to all its 13000 resellers and partners in the region, ABC Data Cloud platform enables global and local vendors to offer their solutions in the form of the following services: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DraaS). This allows resellers registered in the ABC Data system to gain access to a wide and varied offer including, among others: virtual servers, network drives, tools for the development of their own apps, or solutions enabling data archiving and backup, analyses, and planning. The offer includes also systems responsible for security as well as e-learning and workflow-type apps. With ABC Data Cloud, resellers can offer their final customers not only one configured service, but also packages comprised from offers of multiple vendors. Such companies, among others, as Kaspersky, Oktawave, Focus Telecom, Xopero and Talex provide their services on the platform.

Poland: Juliusz Niemotko, who was vice-president of broadliner ABC Data, has resigned for undisclosed reasons1. Broadliner ALSO has inaugurated a new warehouse, three times bigger (40000 sqm) than the previous one2. The goal of this bigger warehouse is to allow the distributor to grow faster by answering more efficiently to the demands of the local resellers. Infrastructure VAD Alstor has started the distribution of Savvius network analysis and monitoring systems. Network and telecom VAD Komsa Systems has expanded its portfolio with snom IP phones3. Storage VAD S4E has been chosen by open storage vendor AIC as an official distributor4. Broadliner Tech Data has appointed Mariusz Ziółkowski as new country leader. Ziółkowski previously served as country manager for Avnet Technology Solutions, which has been acquired by Tech Data. Ziolkowksi will lead the combined Tech Data and Technology Solutions business in Poland and will report to Judith Ecker, regional vice president, East, Tech Data. Toshiba appoints ABC Data

Eastern Europe: Japanese vendor Toshiba has chosen broadliner ABC Data as an official distributor for the region. Toshiba LED systems will thus be available through ABC Data offices in Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia (source: CRN Polska).

Central and Eastern Europe: in Czechia, network and security VAD DNS has strengthened its Servodata's Microsoft team with four new employees: Lucia Kulichová (MS Education account manager), Alena Rendón and Miroslav Roguľa (both MS License specialists) and Jiří Mates (Communication SW&S account manager).
In Poland, broadliner ABC Data has added Legrand UPS to its catalog1. Its competitor Action has expanded its consumer electronics offer with Hoya lenses for digital cameras2. Storage and consumer electronics specialist Nelro Data has opened a new service aiming to repair network devices3. Broadliner Tech Data has promoted Marcin Ruciński to sales and product marketing director, for its broadline activity4.
In Slovakia, broadliner Tech Data has announced that Martin Zlocha continues to lead the business as local country manager, following the successful completion of the acquisition of Avnet Technology Solutions. Zlocha was country manager of Avnet Technology Solutions, Slovakia prior to the acquisition, and will report to Judith Ecker, regional vice-president, East, who was previously responsible for the East Region at Avnet Technology Solutions. Zlocha remains leader of an unchanged team, that will continue to look after all existing and new customers.
Finally, Ukrainian software specialist Softprom has been chosen by network monitoring vendor Gigamon as official distributor for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kirghizstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan (source: Reseller Magazine Online Česko, CRN Polska 1, 2, 3 and 4, Komputernoye Obozrenye Ukraina).
