New partners for Samsung and Sinefa, and another service for Cloud Distribution

United Kingdom: Beta Digital Media Solutions (BetaDMS), part of supply specialist Beta Distribution, has agreed a partnership with Samsung to deliver its large format displays (LFDs) range with additional services that include in-house content creation, delivery and management. The partnership will enable BetaDMS' channel resellers to offer a full digital signage service to customers expanding portfolios further than just hardware and generating additional revenue. Samsung's LFD range will join the BetaDMS product solutions and services portfolio designed to meet the demands of current AV and IT convergent needs.

Security VAD VCW Security has inked a new distribution agreement with Sinefa, a vendor specialized in later 7 application visibility and control. The new partnership extends the reach and availability of Sinefa's world leading network traffic visibility platform, as it looks to expand its footprint in EMEA.​

Security, network and storage VAD Cloud Distribution has announced "Your Cloud", a Cloud Services Broker (CSB) platform which enables partners to create Cloud subscription based solutions uniquely for their customer base. Your Cloud offers resellers and service providers the ability to create and deliver a full-service subscription based offering with minimal capital investment upfront while giving them access to over 700 pre-defined Cloud applications. The platform provides partners with a host of white labelled core services and applications, to which can be added their own products and services. Furthermore, partners can "Saasify" their legacy/CapEx offerings while billing the client directly through the incorporated billing engine. The platform also enables a partner to empower their sales teams with a bespoke inbuilt quote tool and build of materials profile.

New brands for Cloud Distribution, Cogent Distribution and Midwich

United Kingdom: network and storage VAD Cloud Distribution has signed CrowdStrike, a provider of cloud-delivered endpoint protection. The company's marquee solution, CrowdStrike Falcon is the first and only platform to unify next-generation antivirus (AV), endpoint detection and response (EDR) and managed hunting. CrowdStrike's fully cloud-based endpoint protection platform offers protection for both malware and malware-free intrusions. The company recently introduced new product modules to provide customers with the flexibility to replace their AV or augment it with EDR, security hygiene capabilities, and managed hunting. As a result, Cloud Distribution partners can procure either separate capabilities or CrowdStrike's comprehensive endpoint protection platform. Following this first partnership, CloudStrike plans to expand elsewhere in Europe, with focus on Italy and the Netherlands.

Network VAD Cogent Distribution has its sights set on becoming the largest value-added stock-holding distributor for Peplink product lines in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Cogent Distribution is to focus on aggressive UK & Ireland growth strategy. Peplink provides SD-WAN, load balancing, VPN and proprietary bonding solutions for organisations looking to increase and secure wireless bandwidth. Cogent co-founder Jim Kernahan commented: "the Peplink product line is extremely strong, dependable and easy to implement, which is why it continues to dominate the Mobile Data Routing Industry. AV broadliner Midwich has unveiled a new partnership with Fujitsu document scanners. The partnership will expand the reach and capabilities of Midwich's successful Document Solutions Team and demonstrates their focus within the Scan market. The distributor will be managing the full range of Fujitsu's cutting edge document scanners as well as the associated software and service offerings. Praim opens for new channels by establishing a partnership with Cloud Distribution

United Kingdom: Praim, a manufacturer of thin & zero clients and management software solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with cloud VAD Cloud Distribution. The agreement involves distribution of Praim innovative solutions in the country. Praim has once again proved its investment in innovative solutions by establishing several new technological partnerships to boost its overall market share and specific footprint in verticals like the healthcare, finance, telecom and the housing market. One of the focuses for the new year is to increase collaboration with distribution to identify and enable more Strategic Partners and improve technology and brand awareness. Cloud Distribution Storage has experienced great growth in the last 2 years signing agreements with innovative virtualisation vendors such as HyperGrid, Pivot3 and Unidesk. Praim will compliment this portfolio and support Cloud Distribution Storage in bringing an end-to-end virtual desktop solution to the market.

Appointments and new vendors for Cyren, Genuine Solutions, Nimans and Pragma

United Kingdom: cloud VAD Cloud Distribution has signed Cyren, a provider of cloud-based data security solutions, as a new vendor. According to Cyren, "in order to grow business in the UK market, we needed a distributor with strong expertise in SaaS-based solutions." Atif Ahmed, Cyren vice president of sales for EMEA, said: "Cyren's SaaS web and email security products are poised to dramatically disrupt the appliance-based approach to security. We partnered with Cloud Distribution because of the company's proactive approach, channel enablement tools, inside sales capabilities and support programmes, as well as its ability to create the right type of partner base in order to accelerate market adoption."

Meanwhile, Andy Tow, who was the managing director of telephony specialist Genuine Solutions, has left the accessories distributor following the conclusion of a nine-month contract. Tow's departure is the latest development to Genuine Solutions' management team, which has seen the recent appointment of an HR director, supply chain director and head of IT, with plans to recruit a new head of marketing and further account managers.

Telecom VAD Nimans has appointed Stephen McIntyre as its new CMO, to build on the company's high profile industry presence. Stephen is responsible for driving the 15-strong internal team further forward – spanning various disciplines such as digital and print-based communications. He brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked in a variety of senior marketing positions where he led and delivered strategic marketing plans, as part of a 32-year career. His most recent role was with Ultraframe, Europe's leading manufacturer of conservatory roofs and extension systems.

Finally, Ericsson VAD Pragma Distribution continue to build its leadership team with Neil Haining joining as operations director. Neil brings many years experience within the communications and distribution market with senior roles at both Westcon and Crane. Tim Brooks, Pragma managing director, commented: "The business has grown rapidly over the past few years and 2016 was no exception with 30% growth year on year. Recruiting Neil means we can continue to build and scale the business and keep delivering the service which our partners value and trust." United Kingdom: print specialist Beta Distribution has appointed Ben Jackson as Director of Sales – Prosumer and Enterprise Channels, to lead the Technology Solutions Division. The Technology Solutions Division has been in existence for a couple of years now focusing on developing a "disruptive" product portfolio to provide the VAR and MSP with alternative solutions to the traditional tier one brands. Jackson has been with Beta for eight years and has been in the data industry for over twenty years. He sees this development at Beta as absolutely critical to securing the company's position as a trusted partner to the channel.

Application delivery vendor A10 Networks has reviewed its channel organization in the country and decided to grant exclusive distribution rights to network and cloud VAD Cloud Distribution, dropping network and security VAD Wick Hill in the process.

Similarly, encryption and authentication vendor has cropped its distribution network by ending its partnerships with network and security VADs Arrow ECS and Wick Hill, to focus on their competitor Exclusive Networks.

Finally, Kim Thurgood has been appointed as Alliance Development Director to aid office supply specialist Spicers' continued commitment to helping dealers grow and prosper. Joining the senior management team, Kim brings knowledge and experience from an array of positions across the channel.
