Redington and TechAccess find new partners

Middle East: Redington Value, the value division of broadliner Redington, has joined the Nokia Global Partner Programme. Under the channel partner agreement, Redington Value will deliver Nokia's technology solutions and services to resellers and their customers in MEA through its offices in Angola, Bahrain, Egypt, Ghana, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, the VAD will market, distribute and service Nokia's network solutions to enterprise and public sector customers as a value added distributor.

Security and storage VAD TechAccess has signed a master distribution agreement with Informatica, the Enterprise Cloud Data Management provider. As the only master value-added distributor for the Middle East North Africa (MENA) and Pakistan regions thanks to its offices in Dubai, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, TechAccess will offer Informatica's entire software portfolio of Big Data management, cloud integration, data integration, data security, data governance and data compliance solutions. Informatica has the industry's most comprehensive data management solutions for cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments. Working with TechAccess, Informatica expects to grow its footprint in the region, mainly targeting large enterprises and public sector organisations (source: ITP Middle East, Reseller Middle East).

Redington Value to distribute Palo Alto Networks

Middle East: Redington Value, the value division of broadliner Redington, has signed an agreement with Palo Alto Networks to deliver the vendor's next-generation security platform to resellers and their customers in Egypt. Redington Value, which already has distribution rights for Saudi Arabia, will now expand its network to distribute the Palo Alto Networks security solutions in the Egypt market. "We are delighted to have expanded our distribution agreement with a market leader in the next-generation security market", said Ramkumar Balakrishnan, president Redington Value. "We believe Palo Alto Networks adds considerable value to our existing portfolio of leading security technologies. Al Jammaz, Mindware, Redington and Starlink expand their offers

Middle East: on the 2016 edition of the GITEX IT event, Saudi telecom operator STC has unveiled a partnership with network and telecom VAD AlJammaz Distribution. This agreement enables STC Business to establish reseller community and recruit IT channel in Saudi to market and sell STC Business products and services and have a market coverage to reach all customers specially the SMEs around the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On GITEC too, automated IT service delivery editor RES has selected network and storage VAD Mindware as its main distributor in the Middle East to accelerate its growth in the market. Through this partnership, Mindware will provide training and support to RES resellers in the Middle East (through its offices in Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia) to ensure companies optimise the benefits from its RES solutions implementation. "At Mindware, we are committed to partnering with the industry-leading brands to offer a one-stop-shop for world-class innovation coupled with the essential value-added consultancy and support services", said Nicholas Argyrides, Chief of Sales and Marketing and Deputy GM, Mindware. Broadliner Redington has announced an distribution agreement between its Value division and Splunk, a provider of software platform for real-time Operational Intelligence. Redington Value will distribute Splunk products through its extensive network of channel partners to enterprise and government customers throughout the Middle East, Turkey and Africa thanks to its offices in Angola, Bahrain, Egypt, Ghana, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates and its Dubai-based office covering the remaining countries of Africa. Philips find a new distributor and BDL a new owner, while HP promotes Redington

MEA: TP Vision, the owner of Philips brand for LCD television and monitor markets, has appointed Fondiversal Technology as an official distributor for the African market. Meanwhile, Saudi conglomerate Al Sudais Group has acquired BDL Gulf FZCO, a subsidiary of KSA-headquartered IT distributor BDL Group for an undisclosed amount1. Following the deal, BDL Saudi Arabia with Prince Waleed bin Sa'oud as its chairman, will continue to operate as an independent entity from BDL Gulf FZCO headquartered in Dubai, which is now part of subsidiaries under Al Sudais Group of companies. Al Sudais Group has named Khaled Osman as the new CEO for BDL Gulf, while Tamer Ismail former CEO at BDL Group will head BDL KSA in the same capacity. According to Al Sudais Group, the merger with BDL Gulf paves the way for the company to continue its investments in the Middle East by diversifying into other industries as the group already has businesses in the agriculture, building materials and real estate segment. Finally, as part as the broad move of HP Enterprise to optimise its distribution network, HP Enterprise has granted broadliner Redington with the rights to distribute its Aruba wireless infrastructure products in the Middle East and East Africa, through its offices in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates2.
