France: following equivalent partnerships in Maghreb and Italy, network and telecom VAD Itancia has expanded its AV portfolio with Promethean interactive whiteboards. The brand replaces Smart Technologies, with which the distributor has stopped working a few months ago. Alongside incumbent FVS and Maverick, Itancia will focus on the corporate market and wishes to grow even faster its AV activity, which amounts to 8% of its global activity in the country.

Meanwhile, security and storage VAD D2B has unveiled in just a few days two additions to its portfolio, G-Data and Barracuda Networks. Through these deals, G-Data wishes to target more efficiently the system integrator and VAR networks in the country, while D2B, while able to distribute the full Barracuda Networks offer, will focus mainly on its cloud and data protection solutions.
