Zibris takes over Wortmann team

Switzerland: storage and server specialist Zibris has poached the whole team of the Swiss office of German broadliner Wortmann (which is know for its Terra PCs). Andy Beck, the founder and managing director of Wortmann Schweiz, takes over the Aruba business development for Zibris, while the distributor gave no details regarding the new jobs of the other former Wortmann employees. According to Andy Beck, the fact that the whole team followed him was not initially planned. Because of this massive addition of new employees, Zibris plans to move to new premises by the end of the year. The distributor has also opened a sales office in Genève, to cover more efficiently the French-speaking part of the country. Wortmann has, on its part, decided to take over most of the Swiss work from Germany, under the management of Sascha Wiebe, while using Zibris as a point of return for local customers: the majority of sales there are done through four distributors, which can easily be managed from Germany, according to Wortmann (source: IT Reseller Schweiz).
